Comic “Agent 47: Birth of the Hitman” (Agent 47: Hitman’s birth)
Soon the release of the final sixth release of the Graphic Novel AGENT 47: Birth of the Hitman should take place. We are talking about a completely canonical comic book, designed to expand the Universe of the Games about the bald hired killer with a barcode on the back of the head in a strict suit and with a red tie. While the developers of IO Interactive are working on the 2nd season of Hitman, Dynamite Entertainment has been telling the background of events covered in the game series for six months now.
Synopsis.
Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort Mayer contains a sort of “Institute of noble killers” (in the original “The Institute for Human Betterment”), where the bald youths, as if at a pantage school, constantly live and study the basics of a future profession, as if in a sanatorium, some medical procedures are held. The most capable and worthy confidence students/patients (comic book prefers to use the term “subject” for them), as a training, receive the right to participate in visiting events around the world with the aim, of course, to kill those who will be pointed with a finger. In 1985, within the framework of one such exit event, subject 47 (permanent protagonist of the entire game series) and his best friend, brother and ally of Subject 6
The mysterious character from the 1st season Hitman, who is called the shadow client and nothing else.
Successfully kill parents
Another very important character of the series.
Subjective
The comic book, as a work of art, differs from video games, cinema and books even stronger than video games, cinema and books differ from each other. There are no interactivity in the comics, as in the game, there is no dynamics and sound, as in the cinema, and even there is no way to convey the essence in the form of a long sentence rich in epithets with several participles, as in the book. Literally, each release of the short story is filled with dramatic events and slightly philosophical internal monologues, almost more than shootings or, moreover, social stealth, but it does not become boring from this. The comics have its own rules, and specifically Agent 47: Birth of the Hitman seemed very successful to me, although it has a chance not to like it, like Oldfam fans (Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Contracts, Blood Money), fans of nofams (Hitman), and soFans with alternative preferences (Contracts, Absolution, Cinema, Books, Mobile Games) simply because, for example, the main character shoots a lot or the color palette does not look like intra -game. By the way, the drawing of the comic book is pleasant, especially on close -ups, there are, however, exceptions, but not too often. The motivation of the characters at any time is easily read, and this applies not only to the main, but even to secondary.
The game is better?
The plot of the comic book starts one and a half years before the events of the first game Hitman: Codename 47, by the fifth release it “catches up” the Codename 47 training mission and, most likely, ends exactly in the area of the first training mission Hitman. Despite the fact that the comic does not cancel the events that occurred in old games, he nevertheless stubbornly ignores the details of the origin of the subjects (the part of the Laura, which was invented in the dawn of the series in Codename 47), pretends that such very important characters as Li Hong, Pablo Belisario Fuchs and Arkady Egorov a.K.a. Boris Ivanovich Druzhka simply does not exist at all, or at least, belittles their role in the appearance of the protagonist, and completely refuses to get into the details of genetic engineering and even just use the word “clone”.
Also, in addition to the usual subjects of the Caucasian race, in the dining room of the Orth Mayer Institute you can notice the mysterious black bald killers, which are associated only with the film “Heatman” 2007., which I would like to forget about forever. Although, quite possibly, a hint of black hitmans added to the comic book exclusively for considerations of political correctness and regardless of the film.
Result
The comic book, albeit with some reservations, managed to clarify some details of the 1st and perhaps the 2nd (which has not yet been published) Hitman and not forget about the heritage of the old parts. If the conflicts stated in the comic book,
Between agent 47 and Diana;Between agent 47 and a shadow client;Between agent 47 and Constant,
Still, they will receive their development in further games of the series, then it will be at least interesting, and if not, then the comic itself itself will not get worse from this.
P.S. I still did not understand whether I can post 5 comic book issues that I have translated by the site, so I am currently leaving the topic in this form, without a comic book.
